Day 2: Clean Crochet

After hitting the snooze button to only add 15 more minutes of sleep this morning, I was up and out the door at 9:30am . On a Saturday!?! Yes on a Saturday. Nevertheless, I had housekeeping appointment that must be kept. Didn't get much done, only 3 hours of work; had another appointment at 2pm. As I arrive to my second client, no one answers. So I continued around the lake to a friend's (2nd client's granddaughter). Come to find out the grandmother wasn't feeling to well today...hope she gets to feeling well soon! I extended my stay at my friend's for a nice chat and....a few lessons on how to crochet!! I've been wanting to learn how to crochet for forever...well at least since I was about 13. She taught me a chain stitch, single and double. :) Not to toot my own horn, but I'm getting the hang of it!! She gave me some yard and lent me a needle and I've been going at it for about 2 hours.

Last night, I found out that the town over is celebrating their Centennial today and had scheduled Lee Ann Womack to perform this evening. Due to my lack of common sense, I ended up staying at home. When I got home at 6, I got dressed and left at 7 to stop by a friends to see if they were going to the show. Come to find out, they were already there. So I proceeded to downtown and what do my wandering eyes see...no one! No one is present for the celebration. So after driving around in circles for about 10 minutes, I proceeded back to the house. Curiosity killed the cat, so I looked up the information about the performance. Wouldn't you know, Lee Ann is performing on the other side of town. So I flipped a coin and lost, hence me being at home and blogging away. Truth be told, I only know one song of hers, "Hope You Dance". I remember my Aunt Mary saying how much she loved that song a few years ago. I blame Aunt Mary of my desire for attendance.

Back tracking to my common sense, though I have lived here previously, that was 5 years ago. I am allowed to have a brain fart from time to time when it comes to knowing my way around here. Commenting on my lack of common sense, I am referring to not looking up the info for the events of the Centennial. I assumed that all the festivities would be downtown with everything else. Thanks to my small town raising, that's where my logic came from. Though this town, isn't Orlando or Tampa, I didn't realize how many people actual reside here. My bad!!
